Rustic Romance Inspiration: A Bride and Her Bridesmaids

We are gushing over this outdoor rustic romantic styled shoot. The talented photographer, Mark Martinez, inexplicably captures ethereal beauty and innocence in subjects and in objects. The hair and makeup artist extraordinaire, Tay Robinson of C.A.S. Experience, coordinated the project drawing from an accomplished pool of creatives including: spot-on videography by SJ Videography; cream-colored whimsical gowns tailored by Deborah Lindquist; stunning florals by Pure Serendipity Events; makeup by Flawless Face Makeup Artistry, C.A.S. Experience, and Samanda Paz; jewelry by Princess Jewelers LA; a show-stopping cake by Nicole Bakes Cakes; models Fidelia Grace, Tiffany Munoz, and Kayla Lyons; and of course, props and design by Provenance Rentals.

It was nothing short of pure magic working with this skilled team for this spring-inspired shoot. Towering trees, swaying branches, lush grass, and perfect sunlight: a more sublime backdrop couldn't be fabricated. Provenance Rentals created four vignettes to weave the story of rustic romance.

This robin's egg blue desk showcased the three-tiered textured white cake by Nicole Bakes Cakes. Roses by Pure Serendipity Events and a rustic Mr. & Mrs. topper adorned the cake as it perched atop our wooden cake stand. We styled the table with a patinaed lantern, vanity mirrors, an ampersand prop, vintage books, milk glass, lace, a candelabra, and open picture frames. We also hand-crafted a unique "Cake" stencil for the gold vanity mirror; an added service we provide. Design and placement were key to creating a whimsical romantic rustic look.

For the other vignettes, we stacked weathered luggage within the same earthy color family. These pieces have fantastic details: the monogram on the small yellow suitcase, the contrasting trim, stripes, and even an original checked baggage tag tied around the handles of the largest patterned piece of luggage. These clues share a rich history of places they've seen and places they will go. We also styled them with the same vintage books as the cake table, our blue mason jars circa 1930, and flowers designed and place by Pure Serendipity Events to make the decor pop. Additionally, we arranged the rustic ladder display with wooden advertising crates, lace, an old world terrestrial political globe, candles, a handmade tool box, milk glass, a galvanized watering can, and more delicate flowers.

Our tablescape ties in the rustic elements with the round wood slices, a very popular and timeless trend. We also accented the look with ruffled blue milk glass vases, linen napkins, brass candle stick holders in varying heights, mismatched lace, and of course gold flatware. Our favorite element is the suspended open frame backdrop. Provenance Rentals crafts unique backgrounds like this for that added touch.

Finally, we would be remiss to not talk about the bridal garments. Deborah Lindquist creates custom one-of-a-kind gowns that these young women gracefully wore. Her dresses have elegance and movement. The bride's show-stopping gown has a gorgeous fitted bodice with lace trim and a flowing skirt. The bridesmaids donned differing, yet cohesive, dresses that compliment the bride's. The short and sweet empire waist is angelic and breezy. The floor-length sweetheart neckline creates a flattering silhouette for any female form.

It was a perfect day and the finished product tells the story.
